Default Good products to keep my white car looking good

I have just been giving a 09 golf gt for a company car in white and the paint looks great. As it's a company car i don't want to spend silly money on products just some good all round products

I have used both autoglym and megs products before and were happy but i have not cleaned a car in years so i need a refresh in what to use lol.

I am looking for the following products and your thoughts. Would prefer to buy products of the shelf eg halfords this weekend.

Shampoo
Wax
Tyre Dressing = can i use this on some of the black bits on the outside.
Interior dashboard cleaner
Glass Cleaner
Leather Cleaner.

How often should i wax it seeing as it's a new car.

Thanks for the help lads

Right then,

Shampoo, I would recommend either Jeffs Autobody wash or Poorboys super slick and suds.

Wax. The best thing to use on a white car is what Polished Bliss highly recommend which is, Jeffs Werststatt Acrylic kit. Have a look at one of the above stickies for white cars.

Tyre dressing, I use BlackFire long lasting type Gel. This is a great product and last ages too.

Dash cleaner. Well to clean it, I would use Megs APC diluted 4.1, but as it being a new car, I would not of thought it necessary. Unless you are wanting to apply a product to give it some shine, then Poorboys Natural Look dressing. This give a nice mat/satin finish that is not sticky or messy.

Class gleaner. I use AG Glass polish as I think it is the best. But I also you Megs NXT glass cleaner and this works great so long as you use a M/F cloth and not a lint free duster

Leather cleaner? no idea.

Generally I agree with Darren re. car cleaning as we seem to read from the same page.

As an alternative for a couple bits...

  • Wax - the Poorboys Nattys paste wax as it's cheap and excellent if you're on a budget.
  • Tyre dressing - Autoglym tyre dressing. Comes out like a foamy spray and looks awful, but when it's dried is better than anything I've ever dressed my tyres with. Recommend that or Turtle Wax's "Black-in-a-flash". This can be had from Asda for about £2 a can and sprays on and wipes off depending on finish required.
  • Interior cleaner - I assume being a new car it's pretty clean anyways but I'd look at the Turtle Wax interior wipes. I get them for the Pug and get the mrs to thoroughly wipe the dash/trim etc down when I'm doing the outside. Lots of variants for leather etc also, as my seats are 21 year old 1/2 leather

Some great tips above. I'd personally go with...

Shampoo - Werkstat Auto Body Wash
Wax - Werkstat Acrylic Kit
Tyre/Trim Dressing - Gloss It T.R.V
Interior dashboard cleaner - Poorboys Natural Look Dressing
Glass Cleaner - Eimann Fabrik Clear Vision II
Leather Cleaner - Raceglaze Leather Balm

... all because they work brilliantly, and offer good value for money.

Lol, the leather balm is simply the best leather product ever - good value too, at just over a tenner a bottle.
