Stains on Passenger Seat: How to Get Rid?
The title might make you think I've been up to something dodgy....but it's the passenger seat in my new Focus.
I've just bought it, and the seats were all perfect, but after wiping down the dash yesterday and getting a few spots of water on the seat while I was sitting in it, it now appears to be stained? Really thought the water would just dry...didn't think it could actually stain because it was such a small amount.
So how do I get rid of a water stain? Lol

Nightmare situation, which happens more often than you think (Clark had the same problem with his Cupra R a year or two back). The problem is caused by residual chemicals leftover from the manufacturing process rising to the seat surface and drying to leave what are essentially salt deposits, which appear as light coloured staining. Sometimes, a gentle brush down with soft interior brush will remove them, but if not, then Meguiars APC diluted 10:1 and wiped over the area using a microfibre work towel will do the trick (you should treat the entire fabric panel, to ensure evenness). Not ideal by any stretch, but it is possible to work around it.
