Default Wheel Cleaning Experience

Just thought I'd share my wheel cleaning experience with you all.

My wheels get washed every week but brake dust & brake pad deposits have built up over time & bonded to my rims, thought it was about time I took them off and give em a good going over.

I haven't had much success to be fair removing the bonded bits with various cleaners. Most were sharp raised chunks that ripped the sponge and just chewed through a clay bar. Nothing short of a chisel would shift it, in my opinion

Finally after reading several posts, i thought I'd give Meguiars Wheel Brightener a go.... ....here are the results.

Before:

After two washes with Gold Class:

After Wheel Brightener (4:1)

3 Coats of Wheel Sealant:

Then back on the car:

Very nice wheels, and a great job of cleaning them, they should be easier next time now you have some sealant on them.
