can anyone give me an idea on how to remove my number plates apart from the obvious and rip em off, i dont wanna damage the body work or any thing and also what to use on getting the sticky residue off, many thanks in advance regards steve.....
Get some gentle heat in to it, as noted something like a hair dryer, and then I think something like Autosmart Tardis would get the leftover sticky bits off.
White spirit gets rid if the residue. Warm the adhesive then use fishing line to get behind the plate and gently pull it away. After removing the residue, polish and wax. Best of luck Bob
so white spirit wont damage the paint work?????? thanks
white spirit will work but it's not the ideal thing to use on your paintwork. AS Tardis is the best stuff or something like auto glym tar and glue remover. regardless of what you use, be sure to clean well afterwards and give it a coat of wax.
