Default A few questions

I need to top up on a few cleaning parts, but want your advice on a few things.

I need a new tyre dressing applicator for the Blackfire LLTG as the one that came with it (Yellow/grey) is starting to wear. What would you recommend?

I already use the Jeffs Werksatt acrylic kit and I was thinking of buying Prime Stong. Whats the benefit of using this on the paint work?

Last question, I am going to buy a 2nd car as a daily runner (Toyota Yaris T Sport and the colour is Thunder Grey, will Jeffs Werksatt acrylic kit be perfect for this to bring out the flake pop or would carnauba kit work better.

cheers

Darren

The colour you are talking about seems very similar to my RB5 colour so id say go with the Jeffs, works brilliant on that colour, and great flake pop too

This Thunder Grey is quite a light grey, more silver than grey.

The prime strong is great for preparing the paintwork for the other applications.

I also use it for stubborn water marks on the glass.

I apply tyre gel with an old foam applicator, cut it in half and it is easier to apply.

I have a few spare megs applicator pads that I can use for the tyre dressing.

On the PB site for the Jeffs acrylic kit is states using a megs MF applicator pad, but PB on here state using the german applicator pad. Now I have used the megs MF pad and I think it works slightly better. Whats the consensus on this?

have heard good things about those. basically if you put any tyre dressing on by applicator, there's less chance of it flinging all over your nicely finished paintwork.

When I first applied the tyre dressing I put way too much on and when I dove it, what I had put on the tyre was now in the arch, and on the wings and skirts I learnt my lesson. Less is more.

Pretty much everything answered above; the Acrylic will be awesome on the Thunder Grey, Prime is best applied using a microfibre pad (our site is up to date, some advice on the forums is now outdated - always a problem to keep everything up to date!) and we tend to favour using just a Megs foam pad to apply tyre dressings.

Thank you PB.

It is hard trying to keep everything up-to-date and all at the same time.
