Default New paint advice

I've just had the roof and bonnet repainted on my BMW (met silver) and was wanting advice on when i can use a wax.
i've been told not to wax for 2-4 weeks to allow the new paint to harden (cure?) is this right?

thanks

Only if the bodyshop didn't cure the paint for you, which would be very rare in this day and age. If they baked it or cured it using IR lamps then it will be fine to wax/seal it straight away.

If the car was painted and baked in an oven, then you can wax/seal as soon as you want...
