Default oil or tree sap help please !!

Hello i brought a wagon project afew months ago and it was blown up at 140 at it looks like what could either be oil or tree sap (as it was parked under a tree ) , i wat to remove it as its all up the rear bumper and rear quater thing is it might have been there for over a year !!!! some advise would be great cheers.

you need a clay mate. below is a link of some info

If it's a pretty widespread heavy desposit, I would use Autosmart Tardis first to dissolve and rinse away as much of it as possible. Tree sap will certainly be shifted by it, and it will be much easier than claying in the first instance. To get the paint spot on I would then clay the whole car before polishing and protecting.
