Default Tired window seals :-(

Hiya fellas.

Bought a load of products and got the car (black mica sti) looking very nice indeed, very happy with what Im using.

Ive noticed though, the window seals look very tired and dried out, not black anymore, like the cars been in the sun too long and changed them slightly, I have rear tints aswell and when the car is freshly washed and waxed, the seals seem to really stand out...which isn't a good thing.

Anyhting out there to blacken them up or bring them back to life?

Id put a pic up but the usb cable for mi mobile is fvcked and the digital camera is eating batteries which we've now run out of...

try black boot polish, not the liquid stuff, but the hard waxy type in a tin and gently massage it in that might work

to be honest no i havnt not on the window rubbers anyway, it might be one of them things that sounds like a good idea but turns out to be crap, but worth a little try in an inconspicuous area first.

Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel - Blackfire Car Care and Detailing Products

Worked very well on some window wiper plastics that had some kind of white marks which looked really bad. I also used it on my front splitter which takes so much abuse, keeps it looking black tho

Meguiars All Season Dressing or Blackfire Tyre Gel are products we use for this type of task with great results... along with Zymol Carbon in certain cases.
