Hi all, I was considering buying the above to remove hardened on grime...is it the best product for it? Any opinions?

Cheers, Alan

it's not bad for s general clean, but in my experience won't lift the really heavy duty stuck on stuff. Best stuff to remove stubborn marks was wonder
wheels, but you have to be really carefully cause it's really strong stuff!!

I find the Meg stuff good, but don't know about hardened grime - never let the wheels get that far. As said, Wonder wheels is stronger but don't let it get on the discs/hubs/calipers, as it will stain if not washed off quick!

Thanks for the replies guys. I've used the megiuars stuff today...had to apply it about 5 times to each wheel and left it on alot longer than stated on the bottle. Also used autoglym wheel cleaner and just about anything I could get my hands on!!

No I keep my cars immaculate, but I bought the car in november from a friend and although it has a wash a few times a week I hadnt tackled the hardened on stuff on the wheels. When he bought the car it was absolutely stunning cosmetically and mechanically. He kept it well serviced but hardly bothered cleaning it etc so after over a year of ownership the look of the car was slightly tatty which put alot of people off it, to the point where he was desperate to sell. Thats where I came in with my shockingly low offer and got myself I bargain...or at least that was the thinking behind it.

Thanks again guys. Been on it all day today and the wheels are now pretty much perfect.

Now apply some wax or better still, Interflon Teflon spray wax from Cusco kid on this site. Found this to be every bit as good as the dedicated wheel protectants.
