Default Cleaning on a Budget

Ok, newly purchased Red MY04 WRX at home. It does need a through going over by matt of PB, but cant afford that this year, so looking to give it a "good clean" rather taan detailing at the mo.

Really dont want to spend loads (mainly because I have nowt left !), what would be the best bet, for a simple wash wax / polish etc etc. just to give it that shine.............

Keeping the cost to a minimum, I'd gor for a basic wash kit (£34.85), plus the Jeffs Werkstatt Carnauba Kit, which is currently on a special offer (now just £42.25). This will give you everything you need to keep the car in tip top order for the next 6-12 months.

Basic Wash Kit

JEFFS Werkstatt Carnauba Kit

With regards to the Jeffs kit, it comprises a sealant-based system with a splash of pure carnauba that looks great on solid red finishes and offers terrific durability. The kit also comes with all the necessary applicator pads and buffing towels. The Prime Carnauba basecoat is a deep paint cleanser that also lays down a tough initial coat of protection; you should use it once every six months after claying (it serves as a light finishing polish to further cleanse the paint). Carnauba Jett is a pure spray wax that should be used to add more gloss and durable protection every 6-8 weeks; the more layers you build up, the better the finish will get. The Carnauba Glos is a quick detailer, and can be used to boost gloss and lubricate when drying off after washing, and to loosen the residues of Prime and Jett if you find them hard to remove...

Hope that helps! Oh, and here's a few pics of the finish it gives on solid red.
