Car polish reviews - flawed?
While looking for some Mothers reflection I stumbled across this site
Car polish | Products | Auto Express
Im no expert detailer (just dipping my toe into it ) but I wonder why some of the American brands I hear so much about such as Poorboys, Mother scored so low?

that review is aimed at the general joe public driver, not a Buffy boy who loves there own car
but as above, i feel that a product should be judged on its performance, not its cost or packaging.
i have 10 tins of "FST wax" at work, i think car pride makes it, cheap stuff, costs around 77p a tin from the wholesale place, i have been useing this for around 8 months now, i get 4 weeks plus from each application.
its not the easiest stuff to use, especially on the usual dark coloured cars, nor does it smell the nicest/taste of virgins thighs, but it lasts twice as long as something like the meguires range when i have done my tests.
i have used it on a few customers cars and most commented that the car beaded water a lot longer then usual......

Too true... just looking at something simple for example.. 2 Autoglym Products.
Super Resin Polish
Extra Gloss Protection
It makes direct comparisons of each product AGAINST each other!
Now most people who've used Autoglym stuff.. or alternatively anyone who has actually READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE will know that in simple terms, step one use Super Resin Polish, step two apply Extra Gloss Protection!
They're complimentary products to be used with each other.. ie polish & sealant not competing similar products for the same task!
