Default Shiney dashboards - YUK!

One thing I hate and that's a shiney dashboard!
With age and just light wipe with a damp cloth and very occasional clean with a matt spray, the dash eventually takes on a shinier appearance than when new.
Is there a product or technique to restore the matt finish on the internal plastic parts? It seems the surface needs "etching" to get rid of the shine!

ditto. with mine before i've cleaned it down with white spirit and then a soap liquid and water mix. then wet cloth to get rid of the soap liquid. then poorboys natural look dressing. leaves a lovely matt finish

Tried the white spirit trick (to get rid of any wax on the plastic?) some time ago and thought I'd jiggered the plastic , as it looked pretty awful afterwards! Washed it with spray cleaner and wet microfibre cloth then applied Simonize spray matt dashboard cleaner and it came back ok. the passenger airbag flap is more matt finish than the rest of the dash. and I'd love to get the rest looking like that.
