Bird Crap!
There seems to be a lot of it at the moment :-( the other morning I saw some on the bonnet, I removed this straight away so only a few hours after it arrived max. However the paint is now marked. I tried polishing but only with Autogleam Super Resin Polish. Its not discoloured but if you get at the right angle in the light you can see it, almost as if someone has removed a sticky label and bits are left on..
the car has been scotchguarded, do they come out and sort this type of problem? or is there an easy way to remove this, I didnt want to get something like T Cut without seeking advice

Chances are the mark is etching; bird crap contains a lot of uric acid, and this will eat into the lacquer unless heavily protected with good quality waxes and sealants. The only way to remove etching is to polish it out, providing that there is sufficient paint depth to do this (etching can be very deep and sometimes impossible to fully remove). This guide talks a lot more about this type of defect and polishing tecnhiques...
Polished Bliss - Car Care Advice - How to safely polish your paint by hand or machine
... have a look and see what you reckon, my advice would be to use a more aggressive product like Menzerna Intensive Polish, applied using the white side of a German Pad.

Il have a look through the articles posted and see what i can do.. the paint on mine seems SO sensative to this, its almost a case of needing to carry some water and a cloth round with me!
