New - Zymöl Licenced Detailing Services
We are proud to announce that we have been approved by Zymöl for their licenced detailing programme - from this point onwards we will be offering properly licenced Zymöl detailing services. Both the home page and detailing section of the website are currently undergoing major revision to reflect this change, and new expanded versions will be posted shortly.
For the next 4-6 weeks we will be offering services with Carbon only, but from mid February onwards we will have Vintage as our standard product, and from late spring both white and blue Royale. In line with these changes we have expanded the range of services available to include paint inspections reports, protection only details, full correction details and annual maintenance plans. Full details of these services will be posted soon on the website - annual maintenance plans (both monthly and quarterly) will be offered in limited numbers, on a first come first served basis. We will also be continuing to offer standard detailing services using products from the store. All work is charged at our standard hourly rate with supplements for various Zymöl finishes, and this rate is now inclusive of VAT and all materials (with the exception of the aforementioned supplements for various Zymöl finishes). All work is fully insured (arranged by Aston Scott, underwritten by Norwich Union).

Everything that is already in the store we will still be selling. We will not be selling Zymol products in the store. Only using them for detailing, and selling to customers who have had a Zymol detail and need products for the upkeep.

I wasn't questioning someones ethics
I was questioning why we wouldn't be able to buy Zymol from them
Its probably a Zymol thing and I am sure PB will explain when he gets back from learning all about it today

My question is why can't they sell zymol products to people that haven't been detailled!!
Simple why are you so defensive ?
I have used Zymol before and would gladly give PB the business if he was able to supply. I am not doubting his service!!!

Back late yesterday from Zymol HQ, after several days of training, including our first detail with Vintage - I'll post results of this, and a wee report on the whole Zymol experience over the next day or two, but for now, I need to clarify our position with Zymol, as it seems some confusion has arisen.
As the very first post in the this thread indicates, we approached Zymol at the end of last year about becoming licenced detailers; we did this because (i) we wanted to finish off our some of our future details with the best quality products that are out of the reach of everyday folk and that will show off our work even better and (ii) because we have been asked time and time again for high end Zymol finishes, so there is clearly a market for it where we live - we would be daft not to provide the service! However, this does not mean we will not be continuing to offer the existing services with products from the store. One of our main ethics has always been to only sell products that we use professionally, i.e that we know work well, so we will be using both our existing products and Zymol products from now on.
I'm happy to admit that up until six months or so ago I was sceptical about the Zymol range, based on my own experience with the products available in Halfords and reports from customers who came to me looking for alternative products after their own experiences with it. However, a couple of existing Zymol detailers became customers of mine last year (for corrective polishes, which Zymol don't make), and after talking to them and finding out more I became more convinced that the top end waxes (Vintage and Royale) were worth investigating. So I did my research, viewed some results and decided to look into becoming licenced - the rest as they say is history! Becoming approved took a little while, as it involves a vetting procedure and signing of a contract, etc, hence the delay.
Up until two days ago, we had no intention of adding Zymol products to the store, for several reasons: (i) we will only be using the two high end waxes, which retail at £2k and £8k respectively, so no point adding them then as I don't imagine we'd sell many (!), (ii) we hadn't intended on using many other Zymol products, as we are perfectly happy with what we currently use for most tasks, (iii) as we understood it there was an additional licence and fee required to be a reseller as well as a detailer, and (iv) a competitor already sells the full range, and we didn't want to tread on his toes. However, as the training course unfolded, it became clear to us that many of the products are actually very good when used correctly, and it was pointed out to us that future detailing customers who want maintenance products won't always be located nearby, so it actually makes sense to introduce those products to the store so that they can be ordered online as well as collected in person. Therefore, we have decided to apply for reseller status as well. However, as always, we will only be introducing products that we either rate highly and/or use professionally for similar reasons. The products won't appear in the store until the reseller licence is agreed and the first batch of stock ordered, so in all likelihood mid February at the earliest.
I hope that clarifies our position, happy to answer any more questions.

As I understand it the waxes are awesome but it still takes skill to get the paintwork ready to take the wax. I.E. Polishing a turd still leaves a shiney turd . your corrective work is an inspiration! toping it off with something like zymol must be a pleasure

Certainly one of the main reasons for going with the Vintage and Royale - it's hard to better the finish with most last step products once you have machine polished to a high standard, hopefully these waxes will add even more wallop to the overall effect (plus the durability they offer is great, due to the very high carnauba content). What's more pleasurable is the fact you apply them with your bare hands - sounds strange, but it actually feels like you are feeding the paint rather than simply wiping something onto it.
