Car Care
Hi guys,
Looking at spending some time tomorrow in giving my car a good wash and I wanted to polish it up nice.
It is a red classic and there are quite a few swirl marks on the bodywork so it needs a bit of tlc to bring it back top glory plus the weather is good at the moment so ideal opportunity really to do it.
Can anybody recommend some good quality cleaning products for me to obviously wash the car with and then wax and polish etc.
Thanx

AUTOGLYM for me!
I autoglym it all the way . . .Resin polish, ultra deep shine, and extra gloss protection . . .
One coat of each in the above order will renovate it, and give it excellent sparkle . . .
P21S as a finishing touch - best wax in the world . . .Never used anything better than that!
But be prepared to spend up to 8 hours on yr car (like I do) if you follow my advice!
Shampoo . .Again - would say autoglym . . .Very kind on the paintwork!

Meguiars NXT car shampoo,
2 buckets (one for shampoo, one for rinsing mitt between each panel)
Lambswool Mitt
Microfibre waffle weave drying towel
Meguiars Clay Bar
Meguairs ScratchX
Meguairs NXT Ultimate Wax
If your car is badly swirled then it may require machine polishing with a Porter Cable 7424 orbital polisher and a combination of compound polishes, followed by a sealer.
Also worth noting that any Carnuba based wax products won't last very well in the current conditions. Natural waxes melt and degrade at about 180ºF, and in the sun your cars paint can reach in excess of 220ºF. Polymer based sealants are good upto around 450ºF so I tend to use those in the summer and then use them again in the winter but with a Carnuba topcoat.
At the moment I would recommend Blackfire Polish and Sealant.
Apply all polishes, waxes and sealants with a foam applicator pad and buff off with either a microfibre polishing cloth or soft terry towel.

Or give Polished Bliss a email and he will match what effect you are looking for and your car colour to the products all that with a great service
O and P21S is a strong car shampoo good for taking old wax/ sealant off your car, seemed to work well for wheels as well, just never leave it in full sunlight to dry with it on

No use this before anything - apply by the spray - leave for 5-10 mins then rince - then wash the car as normal - this will then ensure you have a fresh surface to work on - i.e no old waxes left on paint etc
