Thumbs down CD2 - Here is the official answer....

Don't know if anyone had done it before but I e-mailed Turtle Wax (the manufacturers of CD2) to see if CD2 was still available in the UK anywhere.

Here is the response:

Hi,

Many thanks for your enquiry, unfortunately this product was discontinued earlier this year due to low sales.

There are no current plans to re-launch this product, but all suggestions from consumers are taken on board, and are looked at as part of our new product development programme.

Regards,

Matt Chapman

After reading the threads on here about this stuff, I realised I still had some in the garage
Used it last night after a wash and brush using P21s and a megs brush, then hosed down, then sprayed the cd2 detailer all over, left to dry for 20 mins, went for a drive, then toweled dry the detailer, and then very clean engine bay
I'll take some pictures tomorrow

It's probably been asked before, but to save me searching ( ) could you tell me what Polished Bliss would recommend from their arsenal of cleaning products to get same/similar/better results?

Would also like to know this. I used my CD2 last week with great results. Just the cleaner and not the detailer mind. The engine bay hadn't be done since I bought the car, so it could really be doing with another good cleaning then maybe using the detailer spray.

My engine bay arsenal comprises P21S Total Auto Wash, and 303 Aerospace Protectant. Both are simply brilliant, and underrated products. See them in action on the engine bay detailing guide on the website...
