Autoglym Powermax 5 Active TFR.
I use a traffic film remover on my engine bay and it brings it up like new.Its called Autoglym Powermax 5 active TFR. Should be able to source it at most motor factors. Costs around £20 for 25litre drum and last ages. Its used for cleaning underside of lorries so you can imagine how well this removes dirt. Can be used on alloys too and body work as long as you don't leave it on there for long.

Meguairs all purpose cleaner and finish off with Meguiars hyper dressing. Pro stuff so have to buy in bulk but APC is great for cleaning your wheels, arches, sills, exhaust, carpets, removes all bugs for me when combined with jet wash....superb around the house as well! Its diluted too, 4:1 or weaker if you wish.
Hyper Dressing makes your wheel arch liners look like new and dresses engines superbly. Again a pro detailing product but WELL worth it
Buy both at www.cleanandshiny.co.uk and mention King Eric to the owner John. He'll take good care of you. He may also send you a couple of cheap samples if you ask nicely
Results here (ten mins work)
