Question Best for New Blue STI

Hi all. Just took delivery of a new blue STI
Wanted to know what products to use on the paint, wheels, tyers, trim and inside to keep it looking new and clean. I quite like the wet look of the blackfire polish.
thanx...X.....

Congratulations! On a brand spanky new motor the only thing you need to do is protect it properly, and then adopt a careful wash regime that will keep the paint in good condition. So, here's a few ideas...

Wash

Poorboy's Slick n Suds Shampoo
Meguiars Lambswool Mitt (for bodywork)
Meguiars Microfibre Mitt (for wheels/arches)
Poorboy's Waffle Weave Drying Towel

Protect

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
Ultimate German Applicator Pad (for applying above)
Poorboy's Mega Plush Towel (for buffing above)
303 Aerospace Protectant (for trims)
Dragon Fibre Microfibre Pad (for applying 303)
Poorboy's Wheel Sealant (for alloys)
Meguiars Foam Pads (for applying above)
Poorboy's Work Towel (for buffing above)
Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel (comes with applicator)

Interior

Poorboy's Natural Look Dressing
Dragin Fibre Microfibre Pad (for applying above)
Meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner
Poorboy' Work Towel (for applying the above).

A pretty big, comprehensive list, so pick and choose at will! Hope that helps!

Rich suggests the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish followed by the Wet Protection.

Andy.

For maximum wetness yes, but on a brand new car it's not essential - kind of felt bad with the size of the above list, so left it out! The Blackfire polish isn't really a true polish (abrasive), more a glaze that cleans the paint and adds gloss by the bucketload (although the Wet Diamond does this very well on it's own). Entirely your call!

Now thinking of getting a pc and first using Poorboy's SSR1. Is this a good idea for a new car?

No, completely unnecessary to polish it with an abrasive polish when it comes out of the showroom - 12 months down the line yes, a good idea, but for now all you need to do is as above. The Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (remember, not really a polish, actually a glaze) goes on a treat with a black pad via the PC, so getting the PC isn't a bad idea at all though.

Roughly £140 delivered for everything on the list above, and that's enough to last at least a year (bar the shampoo, might need more of this depending how often you wash the car).

Hi there. As promised photos....

Car cleaned with 2 bucket method and polished with Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish and 2 coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection.
Wheels taken off and and protected with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. Used Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel on the tyres.
Very happy with the result.. Plus the result of the wheels...
Many thanks Polishedbliss.....
