GT3 RS - Difficult to really bring up the white
White Cars
Swissol didn't manage to get a very good shine.
Megs Gold was basically the same.
Megs NXT was best by far but still didn't blow me away.
So I tried Megs #7, #16 #26 was good, but the 6 hours of work put in only looked about 5% better than just using NXT.
I had to clay bar the boot lid, then applied a Lacro Diamond Bright stage 1&2 on the boot lid, it was just as good as the rest of the car that had 6 hours spent on it!
Car currently has been clay bared, some T Cutting, Swissol Cleanser, followed by Lacro base, followed by swissol, then 4 layers of NXT, then last week's Megs 6 Hour stint, so certanly has some layers on it!
But I havn't been blown away by anything so far, so what to try next? What do you guys reckon
Whats best for the Carbon Fibre? Lacro Diamon Bright works lovely, but it's not exactly cheap!
Don't really want to use any products that cut, as the car has so many layers on already don't want to strip them all off

Cheers mate.
Sorry didn't type to well, I meant I spent 6 hours on the entire car, yet on the boot lid I spent about 5 minutes putting on a Lacro Diamond Bright.
Then the end result was the same!

Have to agree with Frayz - Optimum Car Wax is one of my favourite products on white. It's so easy to use (spray on, wipe off) that I recommend treating it as a quick detailing spray - use it after every wash. It takes a couple of coats and a wash before the gloss really gets going, but then it begins to look like this (ok, not white, but a light colour all the same).

Just remember to give the OCW at least 3-4 coats before you pass judgement - it takes this much to deliver on mine, and from then on it's awesome. I would try 303 Aerospace Protectant on the carbon fibre, although the OCW is also safe for use on all trims (even rubber!), and would give it a nice gloss.

Non metallic’s are difficult to bring up. I clay bar'd my car, then washed it with warm water and mer polish mix. The result was excellent:

Had clear bra's / armourfend on the Scoob and the CSL.
OK at first, then started going yellow, peeling, cracking.
The guy that bought my CSL hated it so much he had it all removed.
So don't really rate it anymore. However Paint Shield are supposed to off come up with a new one that doesn't discoulour.

OK Havn't washed the car since my last 'session' about 3 weeks ago. It hasb't been used apart from last few days while i'ts been in the workshop.
Anyway, Mick is coming over tomorrow for a session and these are the products I currently have:-
Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze, Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax, Meguiars NXT, Optium Car Wax.
So tomorrow I was thinking of doing:-
Wash
Megs #7
Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax
Then next time, just wash & OCW.
Or am I wasting my time, considering last time car was washed Megs #7 was applied anyway.
Any suggestions?
