Unhappy Removed 'SUBARU' letters but have outline is still there

After swapping my MY06 WRX boot lid with an MY05 STI boot lid (with wing) i decided to take them 'SUBARU' letters off and replace them with the oval subaru badge which was orginally on the MY06 lid. Got the letters off and all the sticky stuff but if looking closely i can still see the outline of the letters..... for all the people that have de-badged what would be the best way/best product to get rid of this?

Cheers,

Tony.

Was going to try that but rain stopped play. I'll give it a go this weekend.

The autoglym polish i have can be quite 'cutting' so this should do it i guess.

Cheers,

Tony.

An All Purpose Cleaner (Meguiars or Poorboys or P21S) will shift any residue, if you have any minor marks caused by the removal a light polish will usually shift them.

Autoglym SRP with plenty of elbow grease mate, make sure youn do the whole bootlid.

Then a coat of Autoglym EGP or like sealant, with a decent wax over the top

Silver scooby sport did mine the other weekend, hot water from teh kettle and some cotton to remove, had to use petrol to remove the stubborn sticky bits, cleaned it down, and gave it a good polish with swissol, looks much better
