Since buying my car about 4 years ago an fsti import the climate control ***** have been covered in sticky black gunk, I've tried to remove it with a few different cleaning products to no avail and a mild solvent which I thought may remove the white icons underneath so stopped, tonight I used diluted zoflora that I picked up by mistake...
Result they now look brand new.
Not sure why it worked as its a disinfectant

lol ive got sticky vent problems on mine , i think the rubber on top goes off after a period of time .
