Default Error on new posts using the quick reply

Noticed this earlier today

If I use the quick reply to reply to a thread, it says error and lets me click a button called 'okay'

If i try and submit the post again it says I cant as it has already submitted

Its similar to the edit post error, when you edit and save it just sits there and you have to refresh the thread to see your post

This is the error I get

Quick Reply
The following errors occurred when this message was submitted

Okay

and the 'okay' button is a clicky

this reply was done using the normal 'Post Reply' button and not the quick reply feature

And it still gave me the database error page, saying refresh etc, I refresh and all i get is a blank page, but then if I go back a few pages, then refresh my post appears

Hi Sonic

Thanks for reporting this. We were making some changes around that time which may have caused the problem. Could you please let me know if you see this again, or have seen it since about 8pm tonight?

Testing the quick reply option

** edit **
Looks like it's working again now I too had the same problem, but forgot to report it, and assumed some changes may have been happening, so left it and obviously it's now working fine (Safari 2 on OS X 10.4.10)

Sonic

this is really weird, as I'm not experiencing it at all.

I know of a mod we've added in the last 2 days which is the only thing which could cause it.

I don't have access to dissable it now. But I'll get in touch with you Monday / Tuesday, and try dissabling it.

How many times out of 10 is it happening?

Thanks Simon

It is happening 10 times out of 10

Quick reply gives an error and a clicky okay button, which doesnt do anything

New Post gives a database error page

Post Reply gives a database error page too

It has only happened in the last few days too, ive tried IE7, IE6, logging out, clearing cookies, logging back in, 3 different PC's, 2 different ISP's and every time it gives the same thing

Very confusing and strange

Steve
