New Posts pages max
#3
Sorry.
I sometimes only visit once a day, but I like to read the new posts rather then each category. But when I hit the new posts link at the top. It only shows a max of 4 pages of new posts, regardless of when the last time I visited was.
Is there a way for me to change this, so I can read all the new posts from the last time a I visited?
thanks

hmm
interesting.
click this :
https://www.scoobynet.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
Then scroll down to "Default Thread Cut Off Age" and set that to "Forum Default".
If that doesn't work, set it to "Show All Threads" or whatever is appropriate for you.
Please let me know how you get on.

Yep, same here, I use the new posts option on all the forums I use, usually maxes out at about 20 pages but i've always only had 4 on here.
If I dont visit during the day, I only get the last 4 pages of posts when I get home which usually spans about an hour tops!

Hi
In the search options you can select a date range. This will solve your problem.
As for the "new posts" feature. This is based on the search function, so it will be limited in the same way.
The reason for the limit is that 4 pages of results is usually far more than enough, and it massively reduces the time it takes to return the results.
Use the advanced search and manipulate the date ranges, etc in the circumstances where you need more than 4 pages
