OK, it's probably just me (yes it is! they chorus) but what do I need to do to put an active URL link in a post?

Just used to copy and post it into my mesage on the old BBS and all you had to do was click it to go to it, just comes in as flat text now - no hyperlink!

Is there a tag set to go round it, like [link]http://www.google.co.uk/[/link] ?

Edited first time to say: Hmm, how about using proper HTML ref tags, such as a href=, and including the target URL in double quotes? Let's see: <A HREF="http://www.google.co.uk"</A>

Edited second time to say: Rats, that didn't work! OK, what about giving it a blank target? Try again: <A HREF="http://www.google.co.uk" TARGET=_blank>http://www.google.co.uk</A>

If that works, the code (with wrong brackets) is as follows: (A HREF="http://www.google.co.uk" TARGET=_blank)http://www.google.co.uk(/A)

Replace the round brackets: ( ) with angled ones: < >

Cheers,
Steve

Thumbs up

Oh Carl, you're just showing off and showing me up now!!

I'll take some small comfort that I was on the right lines originally with my <link> </link> question!!

Of course, I only posted as everyone else was too shy to ask and be shown up! (yeah, right!)

Thanks to both of you!

Steve,

They are Phillips Blue Vision sidelights cost around a tenner, you can probably get them from powerbulbs.

Just don't get the PIAA ones like Plantie, you'll look a right ****

Cheers mate - I'll try and find some soon.

Know what you mean, but at least the blue lights go with the RB5 colour! Wonder how many folk have thought he's a cop car charging up behind 'em?

Don't think I'd put them against my Mica Green though!

C ya
Steve
