Noticed some forums only allow members with a minimum of 100 posts to post in their for sale section.

As many have mentioned "scoobynets " for sale forum is faster than most members car!!!


Its a real let down. The whole thing is bogged down and difficult to keep posts in the first 4 pages after only one day.....



It is probably the biggest problem here (Except for me and a few others..!)

So come on lets get it sorted. A for sale section divided up into around 5 sections to cover most things etc..... Wouldnt take long for it to be organized i am told...

 

What about some form of experiment??

if I started 6 threads

1. Subaru imports for sale.
2. Uk subarus for sale.
3. Domestic electrical goods for sale.
4. Computer stuff for sale.
5. Subaru spares for sale.
6. None Subaru cars for sale.

Tried it for a month. Would this be a problem???

Ok it would only make it easier to find stuff... but the speed of the For sale forum would be the same.

 

This forum.. Busy here isnt it..!!

 

Muppets couls sneak into this forum and have a whale of a time..

looks like no mods even bother...

Instead of causing trouble, is there any chance that you could RTM problems? This won't turn you into a grass or copper's nark . The mods have day jobs and some of us apparently have a life - I'm still trying to get one

The For Sale forum is a known issue that is being worked on. I'll ask Shaun for his official comment, as development is his baby and he'll be the best person to give plans and timescales, etc.

and it works v well - just an idea

 

Cheers Will, there are plans afoot for Great Things, but unfortunately the Great Things require development time. In the mean time, we are holding off putting in a temporary fix as the board has lots of forums (fora? ) already and we don't want to have loads!

Hopefully the Webmaster will give us an update as to what the best plans are at the moment.

Since your *other* posts in here have been deleted, I will not pull this thread down much by commenting on them. But dare I suggest, that was not the way that we appreciate to be "gotten attention of"!

Back to the For Sale forum......

It will be rectified as a matter of cause soon. When that "soon" will be, I do not know as the development work we are doing has turned out to be more involved as first anticipated.... coupled with the fact that time is short (as we are do this work in our spare time), doesnt make for an ideal situation.

I will certainly consider splitting the forum in the short term, but I do not want to dilute the vision of the classifieds section on Scoobyshop.

Perhaps not what you wanted to hear, but I am afraid that is the current situation.
