Belgium dealer Alain Knockaert (knockaert.gar@pandora.be) can get you one for less than £16k inclusive of metalic paint and VAT. After registration and fitting a Cat 1 alarm it will still be below £16.5k

I have 1 on order.

Thumbs up

Keyring cars have also announced May price drop - now £15873 inc VAT , met paint, del, registration but without alarm. Delivery time 4-5 months though....
But still a damn good price though, makes me wonder how dealers have the neck to charge £17k for a W reg series 1.

Recently imported a 2 WRXs from Garage Troch Belgium with another Scoobynet member & we were able to discount down to £15600 with vat including met paint, Morrettes & painted skirts! Alarm added a further £300 & collection costs £200. The only down side was the 6 month wait.

I've a quote from Knockaert, for a WRX. I haven't ordered yet, until I see the new version, due Jan 2003 (You can order one from 1st August this year)

21,557.65 euro, including metallic, excluding VAT. Thats around £13,500.

17.5% VAT on import is around £2,400

An alarm would be around £400.

Total £17,300. Including 3 year pan-europe warranty. Assuming that you register the car within a week of import, the log book doesn't show it as an import.

Eldar - don't forget the VIN number will show it's an import.

This price drop has completely shafted me!

I thought I would have a nice solid car with good residuals, and now it's gone completely ****.

Such is life I suppose!!

But is the price drop because of Euro competition or is it because they are not selling as many?

I do not have a URL, but the direct number for Alain is 0032-57202066.

Eldar,
£13500 + £2400 + £400 = £16,300 (even better value). Don't forget the flight/ferry costs, registration and a tank of fuel to get you home.

Not bragging or anything, but based on the currency rate I have booked, I can order a Subaru Impreza WRX 4dr with buckets for £14,295.00 including the VAT so I think that pretty much pi$$es on Mackro's price!!!!

Never has a Scooby been so cheap me thinks - Focus money me thinks!!!

Boultsy, I think not, I import cars for a living, the price is correct based on a Euro rate of 1.625 which I have booked. And yes, the price includes VAT also.

Hi Orwella - got mine from Alain Knockaert on the 2nd March - delivered from Ypres to Zeebrugge. Top bloke, excellent price, fantastic car.

Only took four and a half months to arrive, but I waitied a few more weeks to put it on an 02 plate. 22,000 Euros for a MY02 wagon incl metallic (WR blue). Cheap ferry, day trip round Bruges, nice journey back in the new Scoob. What more do you need.....

Frisby - Quick Q. Who do you work for/operate as? I'd be interested in seeing your web site for a few more prices.
