I think its more to do with everyone being a comedian. This site is useless for advice 95% of the time.

I have had the odd bit of help but mostly just the usual bandwagon jumpers etc.

I had more help on a ford site pmsl

Couldn't agree more, I come here for entertainment (and if I can I try and help people) I also buy stuff from members on here but if It ever comes to advice I allways use a local forum where everyone is friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful to be honest

I've had great advice from this site, especially with being new to Subaru. I've also learnt quite a lot too. As for taking the pi55,I still enjoy a good dump value thread and the spark plug hole size in the exhaust thread made me chuckle.

if it wasnt for the dumpvalve been invented this site would never of been one of the most visited car forum sites on the net lol

we all slag the dumpvalves off but go on any tunnel run/meet etc and 95% of the imprezas have them all tho i do run oem recirc myself

You did ask for help at 2318 tonight so you won't get many replies as most people are sleeping /sh##ing / thinking about women / working / or winding people up with dumpvalves and other chav like things that they think will make their scoobies better

Be patience and you will get an answer

And your a newby so will get wound up for posting this thread

Completely agree with the late question so he will have to wait longer for a reply.
But as for the newbie part is he really a newbie as he's been here since 2012 so surely just because he hasn't posted as much as some others the post count should be irrelevant.

Completely agree mate, maybe you have to get your post count up to 1000 before some people take you seriously on here, not everyone as like people have said they are on here to help people but most people on here won't reply to a persons thread if they are a newbie or have a low post count unless it's to take the p**s.

Its because the same questions get asked 100 times a week and have all been answered before. The site has a great search function but its rarely used.
It gets on your **** to keep repeating the same bloody answers over and over.

I've used the search functions on many occasions, and to be honest I find it sh*t but that's just my opinion, but every other forum wether it be Audi-sport, ses, vauxhall Vxr, no matter how many times the question has been asked people try to answer the question or at least put a link up to a previous thread about the same topic.on here it seems a quick and easy way for some people who obviously have nothing better to do all day than take the p*ss because they are bored or they think they are better than everyone else because they own an sti.

Have you changed the O2 sensor in the manifold and reset the fault codes ??

well it great to get other opinions wether they agree with me or not,but most of you so far in fairness seem to agree, and you all make good points, deep down this is a good site but things seemed to have slided abit. at the end of the day we all have tech probs with our scoob from day to day and they might give same issues with very different causes. think the guys in the know who work everyday on scoobs could be a bit more helpfull

personaly i have only just recently owned my first subaru and also 1st car so i feel i am not in a position to give out sound technical advice at the moment as i am myself still learning. if we was discussing various motorcycles etc then i would gladly chime in with good usuable advice but we are not so i keep quite untill i can properly help. i think maybe that is the same for others alot of the time.

basically the guys with all the knowledge cant be ar$ed any more. half of them dont even own an impreza any more and just come on for the popcorn threads such as this one. as some have said google your question and it will probably point you back here to a thread when some people could be bothered answering.
