Question

Hello, I was just perusing my warrenty booklet and (obviously) parts that fail due to abuse arent covered.. When it comes to an STi what do you think would constitute abuse? Surely a bit of fast driving isnt abuse? Am i allowed to floor it regularly or not? ;-)

Al.

you must never do more than 2000 revs in any gear not to constitute abuse

Ah, lemme just check then ;-) so what your saying is warrenty is useless.. i wont argue with that at all - having just been burnt by 'em (not on the abuse issue if your wondering).

So what would normal scooby drivers think constitutes to abuse?

Thumbs up

Placing ones genitals in the exhaust pipe, definately constitutes abuse

Hope that helps

But seriously, grey area really. Means they can make up whatever they like

Track = abuse. Non dealer fitted Prodrive Modifications = abuse.

This is despite Subaru UK taking people to tracks to launch both the P1 and the STI Type UK.

Am I alone in thinking that this is sending a slightly confused message?

Denying your scoob the right of 'having fun on country roads' is abuse in my book...

Abuse.

1. Letting your wife drive it.
2. Allowing that cute baseball capped Vauxhall Nova to overtake you at traffic lights.
3. Approaching roundabouts and country lanes with great care.
4. Not spending thousands on making it go better and look cooler.
5. Forcing it to wear ugly 14" wheels because they were a good buy.
6. Coming home from the pub on a Sunday afternoon and arguing with it pointlessly over who's going to win the world cup.
7. Going to watch the footy match while the scoob stays in the garage and does the ironing.

Whoa! Mak - abuse is letting the hubbie drive it.... one worries from the moment it leaves the driveway to the moment she is safely back in her garage, despite the 10 calls a day to hubbie to ask 'Is my car okay????' - 'You sure?????'

Abuse is leaving her dirty for too long
Abuse is not being able to drive the thing more than 30 because of traffic jams
Abuse is not playing the right CDs
Abuse is putting car park tickets on the windscreen
Abuse is not giving her at least one day to rest

Agree with Black Cat, my other half has so far managed to graunch the front spoiler whilst putting it in the garage and yesterday he kerbed it bigtime, taking a chunk out of the new SO3 at the same time

I think that constitutes abuse - poor Scooby
