Default Classic gearbox info?

Hi folks,
Would any one be able to tell me whether there is any differences between two gear boxes.
I am refferiung to the classic shape impreza sport gearbox and the full turbo'd impreza gearbox? internally and externally?

Many thanks,
Dan.

N/A Sport box is normally a "push" clutch whereas all turbo's use "pull" type clutch (apart from 2.5 WRX>)

That's OK, I'm not trying to do that, i have an on going project currently using a non turbo box which i am having to make an adapter plate to mate the gearbox to the engine.
But if the turbo box is stronger then i will want to ugrade to a turbo box at a later stage.

The problem i am having however is, if the turbo box is as strong as the non turbo box then there is no point changing the gearbox in the future to a turbo one.
on the same hand though if the turbo one is as strong with better ratios but the bolt patterns are different to that of a non turbo box then it is pointless making an adapter plate for the non turbo box (which i currently have) and so i will need to wait till funds allow me to purchase a turbo box.

I hope that made sense, im not the greatest person at explaining thing,
Cheers,
Dan.

Yes it is, twin turbo actually

Thanks, i will bare that in mind, but it may be a couple of months until i buy anything as i am also looking at a couple of other options as well.
just got to weigh everything up and decide which i think will be the better route to take. i will definitely contact you if i need the bits as soon as i know

Just so i dont come across as being held back or a little odd, i just dont want to rush into anything or give the wrong impression, it is a long term project which im putting as much time and research into as i can.

Yes.gears are thicker and stronger in turbo box. Wrx's and especially sti's have a all differnt variations with ratios and diffs, drive shafts etc. Just get correct one, trandmission code under bonnet on chassis plate
