There's been a few threads on this subject.

I searched for "replacement key" and found a few.

Here's one:

No probs.

I only mentioned it just in case the thread I pulled up didn't help.

Subaru will want £250 for a remote fob and key.
However, I think Timpsons charge around £45 for a replacement key.

My spare key from Dennis Common, Subaru dealership, was £4.50.

That's not nice.

To be fair, mine is a poverty spec key, no factory immobiliser or anything.

My bling titanium key was a bit more expensive; http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-Suba...-/190678643642

A bargain - until you find it probably costs $1,000 to cut, given it's titanium.

I can imagine walking into Timpsons or somewhere and asking them to cut it !

I want that key. I am i right in saying i cant have it because of the factory immobiliser and transpoder needed.

Does the big key disable the immobiliser or is it done from the sigma key fob

Transponder in the key body, I think.

Take the key to bits, and tape the transponder under the steering cowl, near the ignition.

i went into timsons yesterday and they will supply and cut a key for £185, but if i take a blank in they won't cut it!

i've got a key from my old car, so i need the blank and info how to program it (std locking, not sigma)

anyone got a link to the blanks?

What vintage car, Dave?

If you don't need the transponder crap, get the bling one that I linked to above.

Then either ask Ryan, Prodriverules on here, nicely or find an independant place to get it cut to size.

My last one was a blob, I wrote it off, the week after, I bought another blob. I found the spare key for the old car and want to get it to work with my new car
