I wouldnt pay that ! I paid 30 at timpsons for my key to be supplied, cut and programmed! Although it took them a few times to get the key cut properly because the key was worn into the barrel...

Was that for a replacement key with the alarm function. Went to one key cutting place in east bourne and was told they couldnt do it as its a specalist key. I jave to press the button on the key just before I turn it to start the car.

I had the same issue, I did manage to make it work though...a dremel tool makes life so much easier though. Those fobs need to be coded on the vehicle and can't be done off it but I did manage to work around it though.

1. I bought a key that came with coding from a local locksmith.
2. Trimmed all of the plastic from the blank to reveal the metal part to the key as it was moulded.
3. Filed down the metal key black to fit in the one button fob, secured that with some strong glue to be sure it wasn't coming out.
4. Removed the old transponder, then gently trimmed the inside of the fob to fit the new programable transponder from the locksmith.
5. Took it back to the locksmith, he programmed it and it worked

I would post some pictures but I'm out in Afghanistan and the key is at home, if you still need help I can post pics when I'm back in two months..
