Default Engine bay cleaning

Looking to clean my engine bay up.
What's good to use?
How to clean it?

There's a million & 1 different things you could use. What I do is cover my air filter with a plastic bag and use a garden hose spray to gently soak the engine bay then use Meguiars Engine Clean over everything and agitate with a soft bristle brush. Then rinse with garden hose spray and towel dry. Then I spray the engine with Meguiars Engine Dress spray and wipe dry with a microfibre towel. Job done.

That's exactly what I want mine to look like.
Thanks. Does the water not effect the electrics?

Well you can put a piece of plastic over the alternator if you want but I don't bother. As long as you don't use a pressure washer directly on them you will be fine. I have done mine loads of times and also cleaned the engine bays of a few of the NESF members cars as well with no problems

I got them off an ebay seller in Taiwan - they are great quality and lift the bonnet beautifully. I have a Hawkeye STI so they will be the same for you - they came in less than a week.

If you don't mind me asking, are those radiator support brackets custom or can you buy them like that?

They are custom mate. It's called Hydrographic or water transfer printing - also commonly referred to as carbon dipping as that is the most poular colour, but there are any gods amount of colours, patterns and effects he can do. They were done for me by a guy (who also advertises on here) called Locky who runs a company called Hydrotek Custom Coatings - he is based up in County Durham. He can dip anything really. He does a lot of alloy wheels, inlet manifolds, engine parts, gaming consoles and controllers, paintballing guns and masks, the list is endless really.

His Facebook page photostream is here:

Here is one of the offers he put on here:

https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...y-package.html

There is also another company called Wicked Coatings which is very good who I used a couple of years ago and they are down in Devon I think, but Lee is much closer for me.

Yeah, just a tad, but the drive is much nicer now. It's like driving a new car! If you've got anything else you don't need that I might be interested in, give me a shout.

No problems, glad my website that I designed and built years ago is still useful to people. I must update it at some point as you asked about other products and there have been new products come on the market which I havent had chance to try out yet

If you'd like to try a different approach from those already suggested, you'll need Autoglym Engine & Machine cleaner and their Vinyl & Rubber Care:

http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product...6VQ=FG&Range=1

http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product...6VQ=HE&Range=1

As Ron Manager would have said: 'Marvellous, isn't it?'
