I have an 00´ impreza wrx(called gt here in sweden), wanted to upgrade the intake hose without lifting the intake to an silicon one bought from ebay and after much fiddling i got the old one out but there is no way i manage to get silicon hose in place. Is it becuse i bought a cheap one on ebay? and i have myself to blame?
so can anyone help a troubled swede?
Ive never tried it but ive been told before to squash the new intake and cable tie it, move into place and cut the ties, good luck i tried to removed old one then gave up tricky things they are!
When I did mine it was a right pig I used wd40 to help it slid under the manifold but also when you try to push it on to the turbo is creases I cut 10-15mm off the end of the hose and with enough swearing and scuffed knuckles it went on not a job I would want todo again
So i think i have to unbolt the inlett and get a new silicon hose.. so those anyone here knows a really good silicone one that fits perfectly on my scoob? and to fit standard turbo?
Its not an easy task to remove the inlet manifold, i would check it against the original you removed then persist, make sure it is fully on or it will mess with you MAF sensor

i know but i guess i have no other choice...and a new silicon hose becuse i manage to get a dent on it so i dont want to use that i have
Look at the difference in width. It's a job just to pull that OEM one out let alone stuff that fat one back in I took my manifold off it's easier than you think.

+1 you mite even get away with unbolting it and lifting inlet you just to get pipe inplace ivea that mite be just as quick to take it all off and do proper job
i will see what to do becuse i have to lift the inlett manifold wich are a lot of job therefor i want a decent pipe so i dont get any futher problems. But big thanks to my u.k friends for answering
Yeah i have looked in some of those but when i compare the hose they have in the picture to the original, the perrin hose have five hose connections, mine have four?
mine is a 00´wrx in the link its for the 01 wrx and sti and it is a samco hose not a perrin one?
Well just navigate to your model on the link, not rocket science.
Nothing wrong with samco, if RCM stock them then you can rest assured the quality is good.

Could be a generic image as opposed to your actual piece.
Either way tgis is another advert for not buying cheap eBay crap
