Default Fuel

Hi peps I no this is gonna sound silly and sorry
Right I only just brought a w reg turbo 2000 impreza and I concerned about fuel usage
The other day I put £20 of super unleaded in and only managed 70mile so put another £20 of normal unleaded and put my foot down and only got 50 mile at most
What is the best mpg people get around town or is that just the mpg of subaru

£20 is 3 gallons ish. That works out around 23mpg. ( rough estimate). thats pretty normal and around town giving it some beans it could easily be halved. So pretty normal.

Sounds about right to me tbh.

And by the way I'm not sure normal unleaded is the fuel you want to be running

By the way I run super in my Audi not for performance gains but purely down to the fact it does more miles on super than normal 95

Yep id say you're doing above average with 70miles to 20quid.

usually about £72 to fill up mine (Vpower) when the light comes on and get around 250 miles to a tank so sounds about right, I average 24/25mpg per tank.

Either the fuel filler pipe has rotted away and leaking which is common. Or the fuel pump/guage sender seal is leaking. All guess ofcourse without seeing the car
