Forged engine for my car
Just wondering what the cost will be to either buy one ready built possibly used if everything good.
Already got a buyer for my engine done 33k from new and oil changed every 6months

why not forge your existing engine? at least you know its history?

 

I was quoted 3300 from API, +vat for a 2.1 stroker I don't think it's much less for a normal 2.0 forged engine

What sort of power will you be aiming for as yours should take 450 bhp.

 

Just put MD321V on car mate so looking at 500+ bhp and about 2bar of boost.

 

I`m running an enginetuner 2.1 when i get my simtek back and fitted should be cira 530 give alan a ring.

 

How much was that?

450 is not safe on " Hypereutectic " [ B*LLSH*T ] pistons. 400 plus a bit is OK more than that is distinct risk.

l'll be happy enough to quote a drive in / drive out quote for a 2.1 forged build if you want to give me a call. We are rather nearer Manchester than Plymouth.

Think it's not just the engine build but all the other bits added on which inflates the price.
I very nearly went for a 2.1 build, but would of been running 600+ on it and by time you added in the twisted turbo set up, clutch, headers, exhaust, injectors and so on i wouldn't of got much change from 15k!

I see you have some excelent headers already You just need a WMS engine to match
