Default Reprecussions after an accident?

Good morning!

A mate of mine has had a bit of a crash in his scoob and is after advice (ie. asked me, I don't known so asking everyone on here lol).

First is when it's all back together (both front airbags deployed), will the ecu allow the car to start or will it need resetting (does it cut the fuel like some cars?)?

Secondly, does the ecu need resetting so it doesn't fire the new airbags in his face instantly due to the car thinking the tensioners have already fired? Does that need doing on a subaru diagnostics machine or will a normal fault code reader do that?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Adam

Btw his car is a newage if that matters!

Hello mate
Yes you can start and drive , you will need new air bags and air bag module, not sure about the impact sensors , buy second hand all from the same car , much much cheaper
Yow will need it reset ,but I've never made it that far as I've still got my air bag light on my dash .
Would like to know how you get on
