Can anyone recommend a quality Subaru dealer / specialist in any of the above areas for servicing (based on personal experience)?

I want to put my Scoob in for a service shortly but don't really know who's good and who's crap in this area.

So far I've found:

Westaway motors - Spratton, Northants (Subaru dealer)
Northants Subaru
Souls Garages - Onley, Northants (though on v.old threads here it says to avoid, so not keen on this one)

I'm still looking though....

I don't mind driving as long as it aint hours away and you guys on here say its a quality, recommended specialist.

I looked at slowboy but its 1hour and 27mins from me

theres one in peterborough ,seems ok ..

i had a few parts of them and seem friendly enough

Yeah I know of Zen just don't know anyone who has used them as far as scoobies go, so they come highly recommended from experience?

I couldn't get hold of Zen by phone or email and I wouldn't touch Peterborough Subaru with a ****ty stick

 

I wouldn’t have either Westaway motors or Souls Garages Onley stand next to my car, loads of good specialists in this area!

Zens is a good call, (BABS subaru club is local and could point you to a good local specialist)

I'll check out Zen and give BABS a shout to see what who those guys use.

F1 CJE UK, do you know of any meets local to this area that are decent? I've checked out Scoobycity but quite a few of those are Norwich / Ipswich.

Got a friend who's a Subaru mechanic, did my cambelt change recently, knows what he's doing, can hook you up if you want?

I think they meet every week in MK and then do some shows during the year, Its not really my thing but I do join them on some of the larger meets as its much better to turn up in a convoy and park away from the general mix of cars.

 

Just to add my recommendation would have to be Roger Clark Motorsport, if your happy with a little drive.

 

Sorry, I should of read your opening post correctly, I mentioned slipend garage as it is in Bedfordshire but I can't say I would recommend them as have only used them once for parts as I do all the work on my car myself.
I'm a member of babs and some members should put you in the right direction

I checked out Roger Clark Motorsport and its just a tad shorter drive than Slowboy-Racing, so I might just drive down there or over to API in Warwickshire.

Shame Prodrive don't do services, they are just over to the west in Banbury!

 

I am sure you would be very happy with the service from RCM, top guys.

Patronising, unreliable and **** poor service - on a good day.

They didn't order the correct parts, didn't finish the job on time and regard any request as an imposition - *****.

 

Interesting to hear.

They've always been great for ordering parts and even deliver them to me sometimes when I don't fancy going for a blast to pick them up.

Shame to hear the service department isn't as good.
