is this because he made legitimate comments that IM didnt like? too near the truth?

there are many good things about subarus, BUT if someone has a geniune gripe, i like to think we live in a free society, even if IM and the thought police dont like it!
and no, it wasnt about gold wheels, but a geniune problem with his uk car.

I've posted this on another thread, but I think it's worth pointing this out

Speaking personally, rather than as a moderator. It may(although i dunno) been taken down because you were taking IM to small claims court.

It IS possible that things said here, in support/rebuttal of your case, could have influenced the result against or for you.

The case of the leeds footballers is one in point, where a national newspaper screwed up the case because of 'loose talk'

Personally I would rather not run the risk of someone's smart alec comment wrecking my case. Of course, after you've won you can tell all, just that before or during a case may not be the best way to ensure it turns out to your satisfaction.

Pete, IMHO you have a fair case, but I would'nt want to risk losing it because of some muppet saying he'd seen you peel it off to show how loose it was(for example), even as a joke.

I also suspect that whoever(not me) removed the post did'nt want this bbs embroiled in a legal battle and thus risk the same events that almost caused it's demise a few months ago.

I hope that explains what I think went on.

Why remove a topic without allowing the originator the chance:

a. to edit it

or

b. to have it clearly stated why its removed

I doubt that it was removed to 'protect' me rather to try and gag me more is the truth

The original scoobynet was taken down for numerous reasons, one being the person running it at the time felt as though they had, had enough and secondly because the bbs was threatend with legal action over some things that may or may not have been said on here. The latter was the straw that broke the camels back

This is only my vague recollection and may or may not be the truth.

Give people time to formulate the response.

The explanation of why the removal/locking of emotive topics has happened are difficult to write in such a way that all the facts are clear and free from personal opinion.
