I've just been looking on the motorpoint website (I'm helping someone buy a car), and I thought I'd check to see what subaru's they had in stock.

2 x MY01 WRX SPECIAL EDITIONS (World Rally Blue) £19999.

The price is about £2000 over what they charge for a standard WRX.

I wonder what the 'special edition' is ?

I thought there was only going to be an official special edition which would only be available from dealers.

 

Grey imports perhaps?

 

I wondered that,

but motorpoint as far as I'm aware only sell UK or Euro Import cars.

I rang motorpoint about the special editions. They only have one left and apparently it comes with gold alloys and blue door panels, sti badges, rev counter in the center of the dash, white dials.

 

for £2000 extra ???!!!!!!

Sounds like a "Dealer Special" rather than the offial Subaru Limited Edition to me, just had details from Subaru UK as follows:-

Bucket seats.
Lux suede interior (man made).
Limted edition boot and floor mats.
Individually numbered interior badging.
Limited edition rear, side and intercooler badging.
Rally style black headlamp cowl.
Rally style front airdam (black).
Rally style rear spoiler.
Colour coded bumpers and side sills.
price ?
wheels ?

delivery ?

Name of the Limited Edition is reported to be UK300.

Wheels should be 18" Gold Oz (not fully confirmed)

Delivery end of May earliest.

I rang Motorpoint in Derby about the special edition, their reply was Blue interior, sti badges, rev counter in centre of dash, gold alloys. by the way they have only one left.
