My new motor
Thought some of you might like to see the latest addition to my garage.
The Jag has gone after 2 years of ownership and despite the warnings of many on here and elsewhere cost me nothing other than consumables in the 2 years I had it - a wonderful car to own and run!
So I had to replace it with something special. Here it is. An AMG CL55K and yes it's very quick!
Comments (good and bad) welcome

I would imagine once and I do mean once you've found any kind of traction that you'd be able to start reeling in the gap that a 4WD turbocharged lighter car say an Impreza STi hatch or saloon would pull on you from the line.
I'm no fan of large MB's especially as Jeremy Clarkson has stated on many occasions that the build quality is not very good on MB cars of this era.
Surely an Audi RS6 Bi-Turbo would have been a better choice?
It's your car of course and as long as you are happy with it then nobody else's opinion counts.

An Ausi RS6 is a good car, but iit isn't for me!
The Subaru is in the garage next to it, why?

And the worlld will not end - what will be will be, everyone keeps telling me my classic should have rusty rear arches but it doesn't .... yet! No use worrying about something that hasn't happened!
It's not a comparable car to an Impreza, in the legendary twisties a good driver in an Impreza will be quicker obviously, in a straight line the Merc will be quicker!

No worries, we can't all like the same stuff and I'm not sure about the rims myself tbh, but I had them done that way to be different. They are AMG split rims and cost a bloody fortune (I got them second hand and refurbed them) so if I get fed up with them I can put the standard ones back on and move them on.

As good a sight as that might be the car actually has pretty stiff suspension and the ABC all but eliminates roll which is quite odd the first time you drive it. The non AMG models are a good bit softer so we'll stick Tubs in one of them

Nah, keeping it for now, keep thinking of selling it, but it's not worth anything really so what's the point? As good as it is I reckon £2K would be all I would see and tbh it's a lot of car for £2K so going to SORN it for winter and bring it out to play in spring!
