Re-mapping south of england?
Hi I am looking in the near future of getting my car re-mapped. I live the south of England between Guildford and Brighton and looking to get a bit more power out of my Gb270. Am not to sure where the best place to go for good advice and that hasn't got your usual garrage cowboy in. Somewhere which has a rolling road and will do a good job on my car and if any problems occur will be happy to help. Cheers for any help.
hello mate try this guy www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk (simon) im going to him next month
Hello mate i get my work done by these guys they're based in Guildford, speak to Ben at the garage for prices and information as regarding your car:

yeah its a GB270 so has already had some stuff done to it. I think that this includes partial de-cat uprated fuel pump and a few other bits and pieces not to sure? So not quite sure where they would go with this?
GB270 is a WRX with the PPP pack - prodrive back box, silicone intercooler hose and remapped ECU. Still has both CATS in the exhasut and a standard fuel pump. Supposed to be 267BHP with the PPP but mine only sueaked 230BHP on V Power at Powerstation before it was modded but did make 300lbft. The TD04 turbo is good for about 280 BHP and 330+ lbft. VF43 turbo off an Hawk STI is a popular and easy upgrade. The WRX top mount intercooler is good for 330BHP or so and again an STI TMIC is a popular upgrade. Better exhaust, remove one of the cats and a decent panel filter plus a remap will take the TD04 to it's limit and car will run better and also give you slightly better mileage if driven sensibly. Aftermarket fuel pump for safety (as car is circa 5 years old) might be worth a go aswell. Let us know how you get on
Simon is the main man in that area, does lots of local cars at SRR plus you have atFS racing and Surrey Scooby Specialists in the area.
Get yourself over to southeastscoobies.co.uk for lots of local info.

If u need more help and advice, Simon will be at srr on the 28-29th August, he will be doing a few cars there those two days including mine. So if u call him after weds cos hes on holiday rite now then he may book u in for mapping.
Jgm mate. Loads of good info about him in the subaru forums. Mines currently on 196bhp but si told me if i get new turbo, injectors, top mount, decat exhaust, panel filter, fuel pump etc i should see a good 300-330
So im on the hunt for the pieces after ive upgraded a few bits n pieces

thanks for all your help people now that i have a few leads i have something to go on may need to think about this a bit. Bit more involved than i thought there was. Thought it may have been a plug in and go type thing, not changing round turbos and intercoolers and the such like.
Another vote for Simon (Jollygreenmonster). He mapped my 2006 Sti and the results were great, it ran so much better and far nicer to drive. Also, as already said, he can do it at surrey rolling road, so close to you.
I'm only going for a tweak in my simtek map so that won't take Simon long at all on the 29th. He has done an amazing job on mine too n amazed by the difference the car is running now n before.
Waldmanbrown: is ur car totally standard or has it had bait done on it already?
