Default Anyone got one of those dials?

I popped into the local Motabitz earlier to pick up a switch, whilst making my way over to pay i noticed some fella grinning at me.

As i got to the till he asked if that was my EVO parked outside to which i said yes, its for sale do you want to buy it, to which he replied no because he has a Scooby.
Trying to look as interested as i could( because i'd already worked out he's a muppet) I mentioned ive had a few scoobys from stock to 450bhp to which he replys "mines 620"

So i asked what the spec is, turbo etc....He looked at me a little confused and replied "Its got one of those dials fitted that tunes it up when you turn it" whilst making a rotating movement with his hand......One half of me wanted to tear him a new arsehole but the other half just wanted to get the **** out of there..

................oh he had what looked like a stock Bug WRX parked in the carpark...

So has anyone got one of these special dials fitted or ever encountered a muppet like this?

FFS. £10k and counting on parts to make a classic go well (eventually) and all I needed was a simple dial that you twist?

Why does nobody talk about them on here? Could have saved a fortune lol!

The opposite side of the coin, I went to a custom fabricators on friday to spec up them making a custom intake for me. The guy asked what BHP i was after I said circa 500bhp. "No chance mate, you'll not get 500 out of one of them!"

I told him he'd sh2t himself if he saw some of the power being made on some cars these days, and that I'd be firmly Non-League at 'just' 500.

"Garbage" he says. Needless to say I walked out and he wont be getting the job
