swapping rad/water pump

Default swapping rad/water pump

hi every1,how long does it take to change a rad on bugeye,plus getting me cambelt done should i change water pump aswell?

Rad change is about an hour, maybe an hour and a half and easily do-able.

ALso have a good luck at the metal work the radiator bottom mounts bolt too. I took my air con out and found it very rottern, As I had a front mount fitted I assume this made a nice water trap.

yeah already seen the piece you mean 360ste did you replace yours as local body shop wanted nearly 600 just to put that in.

Parts were about £100 from dealer then learnt a bit more about welding and metal work will edit to include a link to where some pics are shortly

Post 31 shows pics after I stripped the front down, as also replaced the slam panel as it was distorted.

yep same as mine m8,but were you cut yours ive got hole either end.

I used a spot weld cutter to remove the spot welds to remove the rusted metal. The used a air metal punch to put holes in the new metal to spot weld on to the car. If I had not bought a mig welder I would have looked into hiring a spot welder if possible. There are two plates that go across both, I chose to get both as would be easier to cut the old out completely and replace with new.

As I said have a look on e-bay they have service manuals on disc and parts discs avaliable.
