When braking hard from 80 mph plus, I get a very strange noise coming from the rear of the car. I can't really describe it very well, but it sounds like a cross between a helicopter and someone dragging a plectrun down the length of a string instrument! Any ideas?

If at 80mph you let off the throttle but don't brake, does it still make the same noise?

My mates Crapi used to make the same noise when his rear diff was on the way out. Hope it isn't that. You still in warranty?

Only under braking. The car is only 8 months old, so the warranty is no probs. It does sound very strange though, and it's loud!
