Mods from scratch advice
Because my car is standard engine wise I'm looking for a few basic mods, nothing silly that's going to need a service every 10 miles or cause me to get around 8 mpg but something a little extra to maybe 280 bhp. Any suggestions chaps ?

Sorry, I posted on another section first with the spec and forgot to mention it on this one . Basically it's a completely standard 2004 plate Wrx . Maybe about a grand ish to spend maybe more . Thanks.

No need to be sorry , as blue and gold says , turbo back system , decat up pipe , fuel pump , panal filter and a remap should see you 270 on your standard turbo .
Thanks, what sort of cost would you think? Also I notice your in queens ferry. Only a few miles from me and don't really no anyone who carrys out any of this type of work .do you do the fitting and tuning side of things .

If you want to keep the costs down I'd go with just a decent panel filter, new back box and centre section. You won't make a lot more with that maybe 10-20 bhp but if you go with the other bits ie, fuel pump, remap then you can add roughly £500 to that depending on mapper. But as you say if you have a grand to spend your probably fit everything in for that. I'd recommend upgrading the pads and discs though as they are pretty poor as standard.
Good luck with it chap!
