uk spec 03 blob STi help
Hi people new on sccobynet and I'm looking at getting a STi Blobby. I have had 2 classics a uk spec MY00 T2000 and a JDM V1 STi. I have a few questions
1 Do the blob eye STi's have a different engine to the WRX's like the classics ??
2 What is the standard power output of an 03 STi ???
3 Do they have the **** poor TD04 turbos on them ???
4 what is the best way of seeing around 400 BHP and will the stock internal and gearbox take the strain ??
The car I'm looking at is completely standard apart from a prodrive exhaust and should have about 4 grand left over to spend on improving the power. Also I don't want a turbo that runs out of steam before its time to change gear and I do actually like turbo lag its fun.

Yes the sti has different internals to the wrx of a similar year.
standard output of 265 with ppp just about up to 300
no not a td04 turbo. uk cars have a vf35
exhaust,turbo,injectors and a re-map will see 400bhp and yes the stock engine and box can take that ok.

what turbo do I need what is compatible and will I not need to fit a front mount intercooler

believe it already has 550 injectors on the 03, you will want 650s or there abouts
a walbro fuel pump is a must,
an MD321T or something similar would be awesome sauce, or a TD05 20g if on a budget (get a good one thou the cheap ones are problematic)
the top mounted intercooler on newages are good for over 400 bhp
