Yep the car is a wrongun apparently. Steer clear !
It's been advertised for a while now on PH and ebay.

I like the line, "mint for its age",,,

What does that mean ? It's either mint or it's not regardless of age.

I remember this a few months ago.I think hamster viewed it and said it was a bit of a dog.
If it was mint it would've sold long ago.

Danny.

It was me that viewed it and every panel is a different shade of white and it's been badly repaired. It was up for around £2600 IIRC when we viewed it and it was a standard car with no history then a week or so later this guy started advertising it with 351bhp etc etc etc.

Just found the link to my original thread about the car https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...n-odd-one.html

I went to see it with Paulo P, the car is a state!!! It was up for around £2600 and I didn't touch it at that price!!! There was being sold as a standard car, suddenly, a few days later it's got a forged engine, 350bhp and is mint!!!?

Save yourself time and find another car, the pictures on the advert are over-exposed/photoshopped, to hide the many shades of white on the different panels.

Funny that mate considering we both came to the same conclusions I should also state we wouldn't have paid more than £2k for it because it's in such poor condition and as you can see in the advert someone has drilled a hole in the roof to fit a new ariel rather than repair the one that is in the rear quarter Also look at the black patches where the rear arches meet the sills and that gives you a good indication of what's going on here.

I believe UK's have a piece of black trim there but these were painted on and I guess it was done due to rust?

you can see the paint colours on the bottom pic of the advert. White skirts/bumper and magnolia bodywork.
