2003 Blobeye Boot Lid advice
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but i'm just after a little help.
I need a new boot lid for my 2003 Blobeye Type UK Sti. I have found a used one in the correct colour but it is from a 2002 Bugeye STI Type UK. Does anyone know if this will fit my car? Also the used tailgate has the smaller / flatter type spoiler fitted, would my standard STi rear spoiler just bolt on in the existing holes?
Thanks in advance, Chris

You should be able to take measurements from your own boot?
Don't forget some Carafax, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...All-Categories around all bolt holes, new as well as old, and paint any bare metal before fixing spoiler on.

The boot will fit mate. But if you want to put the STI spoiler on the get one that is STI because the drilling of the holes can be more hassel then they are worth.
Just bare that in mind.

I can imagine that drilling the new holes will be a pain but if I take my time and treble check my measurements it should be all good (I hope)

Removing and RE-Fitting is easy. Just mark the position of the hinges BEFORE removal. NOT so easy with a new bootlid
On the new boot, try to tighten the hinge bolts so that it can still be adjusted with some pressure, then put the hinges as close as possible to where they were on the boot before: there should be marks in the muck, or faded paint to show you. THEN tighten down.

A bit of advice make a template of the bottom part of the spoiler so that way you can line it up. Make sure you cover the holes in anti rust etc so they don't start rusting.
