Default Cobra system.

Anyone running a Cobra cat back system or just a back box? Watched a few clips and they don`t seem over the top The trackday friendly one particularly sounded nice. Opinions please

Don't want anything too loud, just something a little louder on acceleration and sounds nice on tick over
Might just try the back box in case its tooooooo neighbour annoyingly loud

Got their track friendly system (turbo back). 3" system with a 3" tailpipe so cant really comment on a cat back system.
I would imagine it would be a bit quieter compared to mine on a standard diameter system but would depend on what size exit in the back box you go for.
my set up not to loud and when driving at motorway speeds does not intrude in to the car, great value and quality for the price paid.

Turbo back would be dearer (it`s £310 for a cat back) and I`m not looking at spending too much

Sounds nice on the above clip

Is the STI bore 3" or 2.5"?

standard sti bore is 2.5, if you just wanted more of a burble and keep the cost down just go for a back box, you have a choice of exit size aswell, i went with a 3" exit tailpipe mainly to keep the noise down and as im not a lover of big jap exit exhausts,

That`s what I was thinking originally but wasn`t sure how much difference just a bb would make. I don`t like the big tailpipes either, I like the 4" inward roll tip I got now I suppose I could start with just the bb and then add the centre pipe later if I thought it needed it (would only cost £20 more than buying together so not bad)

Maybe I could get a Snet discount

If I went for the trackday catback system, would I have any probs fitting a 3" system to my 2.5" system?
