Got their track friendly system (turbo back). 3" system with a 3" tailpipe so cant really comment on a cat back system.
I would imagine it would be a bit quieter compared to mine on a standard diameter system but would depend on what size exit in the back box you go for.
my set up not to loud and when driving at motorway speeds does not intrude in to the car, great value and quality for the price paid.

Sounds nice on the above clip
Is the STI bore 3" or 2.5"?
standard sti bore is 2.5, if you just wanted more of a burble and keep the cost down just go for a back box, you have a choice of exit size aswell, i went with a 3" exit tailpipe mainly to keep the noise down and as im not a lover of big jap exit exhausts,

I suppose I could start with just the bb and then add the centre pipe later if I thought it needed it (would only cost £20 more than buying together so not bad) Maybe I could get a Snet discount
